So I did it. I finished the Couch to 5k program this evening after work. I had planned to wake up early and go run but I overslept. Anyway, I did it and now I just have to keep on keeping on if you know what I mean. It was last Wednesday when I ran last. I was out late on Thursday so Friday was wasted and it's tough to get up for the weekend. I need to work on that. Regardless, I'm glad that I made myself do it this evening.
I need to find my next race. I'll stick with 5k and 2 mile races for sure. I know I can run a lot faster than my first 5k time last month. By a lot I mean 5 minutes I hope.
People have commented that I look like I've lost weight. I haven't really been able to tell and the scale hasn't reflected it that much either but I'm not too discouraged...yet. I know there plenty more to work on like exercising more and eating better more consistently.
Despite all of that, it's a good feeling knowing that I completed the program. I've never done anything like that before.
Yay for me.
