Went for a 45 minute walk this morning with my dad. We got started around 5:40 am and walked about 2.7 miles around town. It was pretty chilly out. I think it was still 30-something degrees out at that time. I wore shorts and a t-shirt with a jacket because I knew if we walked at a decent pace, I'd stay pretty warm. Turns out that's what happened.
It was nice walking with someone and it's always good to be able to talk with my dad.
The diet is still going pretty well. I'll update my weight on Friday but I can say that I'm under 320 pounds now. I hope I don't jinx myself by saying that.
I still haven't had any Halloween candy. I have had a couple pumpkin chocolate chip cookies though. If I don't treat myself even just a little bit, I'll go crazy, especially since I've been so good about the diet. And rather than having half a dozen at once, I'm limiting myself to just a couple. That's very reasonable and manageable.
Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. My biggest fear about that is all of the snacking that might take place. I'm not so worried about the main meal itself, I can handle portion control. I'm just afraid of snacking on everything else. I'll just need to make sure I'm snacking on vegetables and healthier food.
